I am happy to share Himalayan Cities, a book recently published by my final year thesis guide Pratyush Shankar. Under his supervision I had written my undergraduate thesis: “Understanding Architecture of Buddhist Monastery at Likir, Ladakh”. My study was about evolution of Buddhist Monastery from a religious to a political institution that eventually shaped its unique architecture. Few of the illustrations from my study are used in this book Himalayan Cities.
